Delaware County FDR/JFK Dinner
Democrats gather at the FDR/JFK Dinner.
This year's Delaware County Democratic Party FDR/JFK Dinner drew a record crowd of over 250 people. Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter spoke on behalf of Hillary Clinton and Senator Harris Wofford appeared for Barrack Obama. Party Chair Cliff Wilson was kind enough to single out our campaign – the 31 tickets that went to our campaign's supporters filled three tables! It was great to feel such strong support. At the event, I had the chance to speak with both Mayor Nutter who promised his support in my campaign, as well as with Senator Wofford who recounted his experience working with both John and Bobby Kennedy (what a thrill for me as a history teacher!). The night proved what we have been saying: it is good to be a Democrat in Delaware County. What an exceptional year.
